Reiki and Reiki Jin Kei Do

                               - Origins

  • Reiki

Reiki means “Universal Life Energy” and is made up of two Japanese characters
“Rei” the universal energy and “Ki” the vital force within every living thing. Reiki
works on three levels: physical, emotional and mental. Due to various reasons
such as mechanical life style, overworking, constant busy mind, staying away
from the nature and the universe which we are part of it, the level of our energy
becomes imbalance meaning either congested or depleted. The main reason for
all our problems whether physical, psychological or emotional, is due to our   disconnection with cosmic or universal energy. Therefore by practicing Reiki we
can learn how to connect our energy with cosmic energy. Reiki introduces you to   yourself. You become familiar with your inner self, soul, heart as well as your
  body,its organs and functions.

  • Jin Kei Do

Reiki Jin Kei Do, where the 3 principles "Jin" (wisdom), "Kei" (compassion),
and "Do" (way, path), prepares you to live, through compassion and wisdom,
   a healthier and happier life.

Reiki Jin Kei Do is the practice of Reiki with compassion and wisdom in a
balanced way integrating and applying them to your everyday life. After some
time of practice it will become a way of life rather than just a method of healing.
The ultimate purpose of this practice is enlightenment.

Practicing the Jin Kei Do form of Reiki, where the three principles of Jin (Wisdom),
Kei (Compassion) and Do (Way, Path) are combined to produce a fulfilling effect
that can allow the practitioner to reach good health and happiness.
The focus of this method is to bring the person awareness to the present, to
make the person conscious of the “here and now” aspect of any situation. This
allows the person to live in the present, the past is gone and we only have
memories and pictures and the future is away from us, no one knows anything
  about the future.

Dr. Usui said “ anyone can learn and practice Reiki”.

  Results of practicing Reiki:

  - Healing of the physical and mental condition of a person.
  - Effective in all states or conditions such as pleasure , suffering, health and
     illness.
  - Reiki heals the present as well as the past and future.
  - It heals the person who is in good health and the one who is sick as well as
the poor and the rich, or young and old.

Reiki heals Muslims, Christians, and Jews regardless of where they live or what
they do. Reiki has become the most practiced technique in the world for
  individual self treatment.

Reiki has no boundaries. It brings all religions, races, mentalities, and people
who live and love close to each other from the four corners of this planet.
Reiki gives a signal to each one of us to wake up from our deep asleep of   independence and be responsible for our personal action. It is the same
energy that allows our heart to beat. So we must start working together rather
than beating each other (When two hands work together, come close to each
other, the sense of individualism is transcended during Reiki healing session
either for self treatment or treating others).

  • Ideology: we are all one

Dr. Usui was born on the 15 th of August 1865 in the small village of Taniai .
In 1914 he returned to Mount Kuruma and decided to do a retreat of 21 days
on this mountain. He spent his time fasting, chanting, praying and meditating
(under an small water fall), the aim was to purify and open the crown chakra.
In March 1922 a strong flow of spiritual light entered the top of his head, ( Reiki),
like an initiation. So he knew that he could heal others without loosing his own
  energy.

The four unique characteristics that identifies the healing method called Reiki:

      • the capability or ability to use Reiki is given to the person by initiation and
this is neither the result of a long period of meditation nor a practice.

      • all the techniques in Reiki are part of a lineage, starting from the first one
who canalized the energy: the Reiki technique is transmitted from an
instructor or master to the student through the process of initiation.

      • in Reiki, it is not necessary to guide the energy with the mind. Reiki is
guided by superior power that knows which vibrations and which
combination of vibration is needed and how to act.

      • Reiki is not harmful.

If a healing method gathers together all these four properties or characteristics ,
it can be considered as a Reiki technique.
